Duplicate Reoccurring Appointments in Phone Calendar

Hi - New user here (first time yesterday). Didn't see answer in past forum posts, but possibly I missed it.
I am experiencing a problem where at least 6 old expired "reoccurring appointments" are showing up every day (into the future) in my phone Calendar. There is no problem with my PC Outlook Calendar. They continue to display every day in my phone out several years.
Situation:
* Downloaded 30 day trial version of Outlook-Android Sync (v2.11) 64 bit yesterday on 16-Nov-2016 into my desktop Win 10 PC.
* Am running a quite large Outlook.pst file of 4,122,273 KB, using Outlook 2013.
* Of that, my Calendar is 37,713 KB and Contacts are 8,201 KB.
* The remaining portion of PST file size are Mail files. Since I performed a backup of the entire PST file, and subsection backup PST's for each of the Calendar and Contact portions yesterday (prior to installing OAS) - these file size numbers should be reasonably accurate.
* Have new Android Moto Z Play phone (new android user, too) - installed companion App and performed first time Sync with OAS option set for one way only (PC --> Phone). Sync took about 20 minutes and was completed successfully via home WiFi network.
* At this point I have not attempted a second Sync operation.
Problem / Bug:
Contacts appear to have transferred OK, but phone Calendar now displays several previous old "reoccurring appointments" (5 or 6) which now display every day into the future. It appears OAS failed to recognize the end date for these rogue appointments, and simply continues to display them (nearly) forever. Interestingly, one of the appointments was only on a Thursday - thus it only displays into future Thursdays. But the other ones were originally set to reoccur on a daily basis (of course they originally had a set end date), thus those are the appointments that are now showing for every future day. As I check the phone into year 2020, some them no longer show up, but one is still there and showing up FIVE times each day.
I suppose I could simply locate the 6 old reoccurring appointment in my PC Outlook Calendar and delete them, then try to resync. But clearly there is an OAS bug that needs to be addressed. I suspect even if I try to fix this manually, there will be some that I miss which will again start showing up in the future (I've used many reoccurring appointments in the past).
Is this a new problem, or have I simply done something incorrectly in my initial OAS set-up??
Your suggestions to solve this problem will be appreciated.
